Matilda Wormwood is the brightest six-year-old in all of Buckinghamshire, maybe all the world. But she is not wanted, not by her selfish parents or by Miss Trunchbull, the ogre who runs her school. And so, with a lot of brains and imagination – and a little bit of magic – Matilda sets out to show the world who’s boss. A musical delight for the child in all of us, filled with Roald Dahl’s biting wit. Directed by Brad Friedman, musical direction by Rick Reynolds, and choreography by James Zongus.
In partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bay Area (RMHCBA), we will be sponsoring a fundraising campaign. RMHCBA relies on community support to sustain vital family care programs and services. Together we would like to raise funds to help RMHCBA keep families together and near the care they need. You will be able to make a donation during our production and fill out a “When I Grow Up” card, named after the central song in Matilda, telling us your biggest dream for the future. The cards will be displayed on the center wall of our lobby throughout the production.
